in the early 80's I worked in film production, mostly ads (one feature "We Of The Never Never", yeah, I've a credit at Cannes, the film comes up if you google my full name). Anyway on a location shoot the Ad Exec told my boss PM to sack me because he wanted my girlfriend. That's when those famous lines came out. The poem is actually a quote. Maybe I should try to get on reality tv? But I'm too old and ugly, perhaps a shootout? Seriously though, self promotion is an important part of being an artist in any genre. I don't have that skill so will never be famous, no matter how good my poetry, other writings or films get.
