A heart of a park
THE PARK ON MY STREET
A park just two blocks from me
Gave a concert
The big jazz bands
Always came once a week
The walk to the park
For the old folks
Would need
Their canes
To balance that aged
Of a bum knees
All the neighborhood kids
Would run to hear that sound
That a shining new saxophone
Playing loud and proud
This mixture
Of the young and old
Gave this park a purpose
A life
Like the meaning
Of a musical bands
Soul
A laughter
from the young and the old
Rang thought that park
Like that jazz band
Every key
A sweet solo
A park just two blocks from me
Gave a concert
The big jazz bands
Always came once a week
The walk to the park
For the old folks
Would need
Their canes
To balance that aged
Of a bum knees
All the neighborhood kids
Would run to hear that sound
That a shining new saxophone
Playing loud and proud
This mixture
Of the young and old
Gave this park a purpose
A life
Like the meaning
Of a musical bands
Soul
A laughter
from the young and the old
Rang thought that park
Like that jazz band
Every key
A sweet solo
