Internet Love

The ebon sky beckons, and I now heed it's call

Trails of silver thread sew it to the horizon

Creatures of the sleep-time mutter passwords

Night moves whisper, and the soul listens

Far off in the distance, I see a lonely voice

Come stand beside the stream of time

Will you hold my hand?

Warm fingers of pleasure thrill me

Wide eyes can only see so much alone

Another mind to grasp and hold the view

Two more ears to hear the darkness

One more heart to beat with mine

Hear the song of a night-in-gale

We join in sweet rapture at the sound

See the moon-light caress the trees

A silent bower for our love

Too soon we must awake to dawn

From our mystic reverie

My heart skips in time with yours

And our fingers intertwine

Dear Gee

Once upon a time I met a man on the net and we got together, before snake lol and I remember what that was like , the distance killed it in the end we , often travelled to see each other but ... it became too much with our lives and we parted , but I remember falling in love on the Net, waiting for an email or a message of ello ;) and just seeing those lit up letters could make me smile ... thank you for the memory .. I had forgotten your poem reminded me ... much love and hugz Jayne x x "We did not change as we grew older; we just became more clearly ourselves. Lynn Hall" ...

You are welcome

I'm glad to have given you a pleasant memory. I thought about what it would be like to have an internet love that could never be realized. She lives in the Pacific Islands, and he lives here in N.Y. They know that it is impossible, or at least very unlikely that they will ever meet. He is just a taxi-driver struggling to make ends meet, and she a nanny, babysitting for a couple of brats. But they have the innerspace of the internet. I loved the theme, and couldn't resist trying to write about it. L & Hugz, Gee

Gee

Unlikely to be realized yes, but I wouldn’t say never, Gee! Coming from someone who initially met his love on-line, I stand before you, three years together now in the flesh, stronger and happier than I’ve ever been. We didn’t meet though any dating service, we found each other just like this…through our writings; became great friends and in time could hardly be separated by distance with internet and cell phone communication. I think there is something to be said for finding emotional compatibility before the physiological aspects come into play. Who knows, maybe it was just our time. One should also be careful about who they fall in love with over the internet, not everyone is who they seem and there is always danger of falling in-to-deep with something that could quite possibly be based on a foundation created in fiction. Pain can run just as swift! Thanks for the read; it brought back lots of memories, many good, and some bad! Corey

Geezer

I thought I had fallen in love on the the net. I thought we were going to be together forever. I left my abusive husband of fifteen years for him. Well needless to say, I was living in a fairytale that was not going to come true.Im still grateful though because it gave me the kick I needed to leave a very unhappy marriage and I did find my true love in the end! Great poem. Greeneyes

Oh Sir Gee, Sir Dog with love in his thoughts

Le Lac Lamartine:- Alphonse de LAMARTINE   (1790-1869) Verse 9:- "« Aimons donc, aimons donc ! de l'heure fugitive,
Hâtons-nous, jouissons !
L'homme n'a point de port, le temps n'a point de rive ;
»  ************ Oh Sir Gee, Sir Dog with love in his thoughts has crafted a poem for us to dream with, dream on, dream on into the velvet screened sheets of the descending night, sing on all of you, loosing your present in another parallel present in the air, in the words we create put together, the same words yet another puzzle in the play-box of our posted messages, and let us play with them. I love the sewing 'spiders webs' floating lost thin clouds the thread, "Trails of silver thread sew it to the horizon". The birds and creatures muttering passwords, you have lured us into your reverie for this moment. Yes and it is secret for some, this possibility, hush or 'they' will hear! Yours, your Q Ann.
