The Other Side.
Darkness falls....
cold hands touch......
and I feel the breath of nothing upon my skin.
The light of my existence flickers
while the dulled teeth of fate gnaws away at my soul,
sealing my end with its saddened laugh.
The light loses its flame
but I cannot move my wearied bones.
The light pauses with a false hope......
shining on.....then off again......
my eyes know only the blackness.....
nonexistent tears flow down to nowhere,
as my defeated spirit moves toward the gates.
cold hands touch......
and I feel the breath of nothing upon my skin.
