Falling to Earth

I was once in gaze,
my swaddling robes
were saffron fibers
and interlaced
my skin

a nebula

driftless
I pulsed,
and every eve
was a glimmer

circling a necropolis
of double-stars
alone,
apart from the mosaic
finally,galaxies away

I fell from the firmament
my trajectory
earth

swathed now in mantles of dirt
moss grows between my toes

I pulse with life again
while the colour's
of being earthbound
bind me,
my skin interlaced again

in Technicolor

You

possess an unbounded imagination, Seren, and without images (as Marianne Moore said, that master of metrics) one is not a poet. Your ability to let yourself go and write down whatever is dictated to you by the imaginative faculty is very encouraging--most poets are too self conscious for that. Your sense of boundlessness is invigorating: "a nebula/driftless/I pulsed,/and every eve was a glimmer." Sometimes mixing the economy of images and language with technical structure can add even more power to a fecund imagination such as your own! Good job on this one! GB

Falling to Earth

Lady Jayne Oh how you do inspire me My mind now running with visions and words falling so fast for me to write down Am I or I am Unknown Falling to earth is something I have been doing for many years now my feet still not touched terrafirma. My heart flies amongst the constellations still My robes I have none just made of rainbow Stars that glimmer sometimes bright blinding other times dull My trajectory is pulled by invisible chords a melody played by a comet afar the notes draw me closer bar by bar I have been swathed in the mantle of the forest green and by the water of meandering streams sunlight dancing diamonds shine ever onwards all are mine The pulse of life is plucked by fingers invisible on the strings of natures orchestra I travel through the intersection of space and time endlessly interlaced with destinations unknown I follow that star shining bright into the early morning light Electric Blue Sorry words just falling onto the paper that waits - I hope it makes sense. Another poem I do believe?

I Just...

Want to return the compliment. I have watched you as well. You have risen far above the tier, where you were when I first met you. I have watched you shed your inhibitions, and grow dragon wings to soar with. I am impressed! ~ Gee

Dear Seren

Just beautiful. Has a warm feeling when reading. I am sorry I cant check out any more of your poems, only the recents, like this one. I have been blocked, but not just from yours. Cant answer any one else' s comments on my poems, which some have gone missing from my list, I will get Jade to get the others off for me before they disso as well. and I cannot reply to others either. So sorry guys. And you keep up the wonderful work you have strived to achieve. Beauty reads as beauty is. Sorry to use your poem for this. I feel bad about that. Funny, I can still do messages, lol. Please tell Fleur I am really very pleased to hear all is fine and to make a speedy recovery. Love yas. Bye. XX

Ah, back for a better comment, lol.

Yes, much apologies and thanks dear one. I must have missed it as I have been absent for a time but I have just reread and it does make you feel warm and the feeling the line, moss grows between my toes, gives, as if I the reader could feel it too. As I have said, Beauty reads as beauty is and both yourself and pen possess this. You keep well and thanks for letting me know of Fleur. Love Lyz. XX
