Quaint Cliche

I will love you forever and a day
 in that same old well known way
  in my drop top Fifty Seven Chevy
   A heart beating for the world to see

So take a chill pill, as we climb the hill
 breaking some toes as we get our fill
  I never bother to take a look back
   when the wind delivers all I might lack

Living a life filled up with love
  see it fits me just like a glove

So step back and get a good look
 open that page wide for each book
  leap at the chance to make a mess
   and whatever you do, avoid all stress!

Don't worry, be happy
 because life is like a box of chocolates
  you never know what a poet might say
  just a little sunshine comin' my way
