MATCHING COLOUR CHARTS

Sharing anecdotes over dry stone walls in our heads
we realise the common patch as we approach the bed

This tipping point in our liaison
means we can start to reason
the meaning of this event

Wind back the reel
How does it make you feel?
Scroll through the texts
What will come next?
Rework the footage
Are we young of age?
Analyse the commentry
Is this serendipity?

A spark developing glows
a glow developing flow
of smoke from friction
friction rushes passion

My eyes compliment yours on our
shared colour charts of life- fixes
we dont clash-
not for us a mess of jarring mixes
 but just a dash
of spice
to even up the concoction
of our connubial connection

Hey Pan

Poem is great but somehow the last two lines didn't bring it home for me, maybe I will have to revisit it again. It just seemed out of place for some reason, OOps I see you didnt ask for comments sorry, let me know gal Mona TIME well spent is TIME well lived

Thanks

You know I am never too sure if some authors want the comments so I try to ask first and then when I read it out loud then that is where it stumped me. You being and English teacher I know you will fit something there to make it as special as the poem is. I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day and tell the kids to make you breakfast. Now I wonder if my son will do that for me. Love,Mona xoxox TIME well spent is TIME well lived

Awww JC

Thank you very much. I must admit, of late had a bit of wobble with doing this...thought I wasn't up to it...but I've decided to not go with the herd to court popularity...I'm an autobiographical poet...It's where I really find my voice....some subjects that I'm interested in I can find my voice through those as well...and I like creating waves with subjects that we dont always talk about! (THE RENEGADE IN ME!) Luv Ya! Ells x

Thanks Rosie

It's a modern dilemma of communication isn't it? I'm single and I date...and being middle-aged it's a minefield of ettiquette and technology! We email...text...chat on the phone...get very 'close' intellectually before we meet. There is usually a reality lag when you meet for the first time! It's all a bit arse about tits from years ago... very confusing, but fun as well! Luv Ells x

beautifully written, fun and smart.

What more can we ask? and hey! if everyone else who commented liked your poem as much as they said, why didn't they nominate to spotlight too? I never trust people who are too nice. Lol. Or ones that sing high

Lol. Or ones that sing high praises and then it disappears from the spotlight because after 70 views, only the original 3 votes kept it there. Can't figure folks out, most of the time. O, about your poem, Pan...once you're in bed with the one you love, braille takes over, and every colour variation on the theme of lights spark inside, eh? ~A "If you think you're free, there's no escape possible." ~ Ram Dass

so right ellie

todays technology is amazing - and the kids take it all for granted. i know so many people who have met and fallen in love electronically long before they met in the flesh (no pun intended, but take it as one if you like) love judy xxx
