The Long Journey Home
I had to stop worrying
what you say,
and what he said
what a world thinks?
because my life
is but mere moments
in a mini second
of time
I will be gone,
and I am already
halfway there ...
but I wont give up
until the world does,
I long ago let go
of hope for self,
and for the faith
to witness
miracles
the only hope
I have left is for
a future I will never see,
of spectacular feats in
human accomplishment,
that will awe the universe
I am envious but?
I've always wanted
to touch a star,
maybe, in traveling to
the next life I might
veer off course
and brush one,
I can only hope
