Christmas Lost and Found

For everyone who has lost their way
realize the promise of Christmas Day
all those feeling crippled by fear
understand you can start life anew
by letting the Lord have you

It’s not about colored lights, holly or trees
no matter how beautiful things such as these
not about Santa, presents or snow
it’s all about knowing where you’ll go
at the appointed time to go home

Never forget the meaning of Christmas
let the truth always be told
above the world one holy night
a glorious star shining bright
led the world to Jesus

Mary:
We have to stop, it’s getting late
I’m cold and scared and tired
Joseph it’s almost time
this child is coming
I need to get some rest tonight

Joseph:
I know the journey has been hard
and Mary I know everything is new
but we’ve come this far
by our faith in God
and trust He will see us through

Both:
Father above, thank you Lord
we are humbled you’ve chosen us
to bring your Son into this world
we’ll stand our ground
no matter what comes
and pledge our lives and hearts to you

We celebrate this day, a new beginning
the birth of a Savior
to show us the way to heaven
whatever happens to me and you
we’ll have a place with God above
when our time here is through
