There are no kings
where I come from
no royal seats of gold
there's just a man
who has great fear
of losing his false hold
on weak men
who bow down to him
who gladly will betray
the rights of fellow
Countrymen
whose values lead their way
we want no soldiers
in our streets
no bullying tanks
we want Democracy
and Peace
and Freedom to give thanks
there is no dictator
who rules
no feeble, flimsy crown
Black wings outstretched, Hot eyes aglow
She floats among the drifting snow.
The angel all had thought was lost
Is back, now men must pay the cost.
A fiend is she with eyes of lust
That scorch the soul to blackened dust.
Tormented souls in anguish wail,
Their screams for mercy of no avail.
They try to flee but stand affixed
Her eyes burn deep with orders mixed
They try to know, to understand,
But in their depths they grasp the strand.

poem
Barely on the radar,
Ran out of fuel.
The tanks empty,
In a life that's too cruel.
The hamster wheel,
In perpetual motion.
Yet in another matrix,
Mind's confused commotion.
Detached from its host,
That's falling apart.
Creaking and groaning,
And aching of heart.
Yet numbness comes often,
Devoid of feelings of home.
If I tried to scream,
I'd barely manage a moan.
It scurries upon each tainted step,
Countless of seeds sprung beneath its paws,
Beckoning the way to its meal,
Stirringly commends its scheme to await,
Treacherous pounce from a rock to another,
Claiming its place beneath the trees,
A knowing nod to the skies above,
As it leaps towards the clueless quarry,
The mice squeals at the sudden departure of its own life,
Wrangling between the jaws as it shuts it close,
A lively tether released from its tenure,
With a feast to snuff,
My body know’s it
And you know it too
That sitting in these sorrows
Is all that I can do.
I reach for a hand
To pull me up for air
But I’ve grabbed at nothing
Because there’s no one there.
So I climb into my once warm bed
Wrapped in subpar feelings
The cold begins to creep in
Down through the ceiling.
The frost whispers that it’s kind
As it eats away my mind
So I lay
So I decay
I let it swallow my memories
As it morphs into them
Now I’ve watched it devour for centuries
Lights flashing red blue
slicing the cool air and
treacherous streets,
patrol vehicle swims
by, searching shepherding
the people.
Spotlight splashes
a glowing cone
On an a African male
head in his buryed
hood his own hideaway
special man cave.
Patrol car wails to a
stop, a shape of a law
enforcement gets out
blinds his eyes and asks for
for his identity.
As I kneel before you
for my morning beating...
The dawn comes not too soon
from a night of restless sleeping.
Thanks for your attention, love
I know that it's such a chore.
Here's your morning coffee, sweet.
will there be anything more?
Now, pound my back again,
make for a bloody flow.
Ahhh... that feels so good, yeessss...
Don't Stop! I'll let you know.
Tending to my wounded breath,
blood pressure on the rise...
I leave the royal presence
don my poeting disguise.
Even her heartbeat is lovely.
Keeping time with my contentment.
It doesn't assert, or insist.
But it holds me here, in between,
waiting for the next beat.
