The Neopoem of the Year contest is an annual celebration of excellence in poetry within Neopoet.
Each month, one poem is selected as Neopoem of the Month, recognizing exceptional writing that stands out for its emotional impact, originality, imagery, and craft. These twelve monthly winners form the finalist pool for Neopoem of the Year.
At the end of the year, the twelve finalists are reviewed as a collective body of work. From them, one poem is chosen as Neopoem of the Year—a piece that not only exemplifies artistic excellence, but also captures the enduring spirit, vulnerability, and shared humanity of the Neopoet community.
This final selection represents the strongest voice of the year, honoring a poem that continues to resonate long after its final line and stands as a lasting reflection of the power of words.
