I sit and wait
for deaths arrival
somewhere down
the line.
I can't foresee
a good tomorrow
everything's turned
upside down.
In the dark
I contemplate
how to make
it mine.
The problem is
I just can't wait
to reach
the other side.
My stomach turns,
my ears they burn
from telling
little lies.
I really couldn't
care less.
It's all
a pack of lies!
So if you will
excuse me
I'll tell you
one last time.
I wouldn't give
a fetching dime
for this life
of mine.
The situation
is not so bleak,
but only
in my mind.
A prison which
depreciates
the goodness
I'd hoped to find.
If I were a free man
I'd tell you once again.
This God damned problem
isn't mine.
The die the fates
have cast before me
leave me
standing on this wire.
Waiting for
white lightning
to come and take
what's mine.
