Generation Gap
shiney sax
youngster brash
honkin' and squawkin'
shellacking a tune
"When Sunny Gets Blue", I think
she's wailing and flailing
with hot mustard gusto
and slap-happy swing
it's 6:00 am
I'm wishing she were older
caressing the tarnish
and weathered lines
in breaths long,
slow, and sure

Oh! those damn memory flashbacks, I still hold onto even with the weathered skin and laboured breathing lol
Loved the write it was but a flash, so will not dwell there it may bring new tears to these old eyes,

hey, Ian
I didn' forget you. Just running late again. I don't know how that happens! I am retired, now living alone, stay home, don't have too many chores, have no appointments, no funerals to attend...and still I run late!
so... thanks for taking your precious time to stop in....it's good to have some company now and then.
regards, from my hermitage
