So, how was school today?
slouching hard
back row foolin'
tiltin' the rockin' edge
a clock head
set to scoot
the droning monotone
alone
and the misery in silent
thirty squirms
thirsting for fun
only
ok

Solid!
A good to the point piece of writing. Reminded me of my school days and the joy of the 4 o'clock bell!

A little secret....the
A little secret....the conceit behind this piece....Imagine a poet (I imagined Esker) at 9 years old, sitting at the kitchen table, having an afternoon snack, and adult in his life comes in and asks "so , how was school today?.....akin to.a "Saturday Night Live" comedy sketch of a tv/radio announcer using his professional voice at home with his family!
hope Esker doesn't mind.... this (Homage) immitation of his voice!
thanks for the "solid, good to the point" comment... I did want it to be a "real " write...
