THAT TINY PAUSE

When in this world
grown short of grace
comes a remote beauty
be sure
to not hurry past
but, rather
stop

if for but a moment
and give it thanks

You have a gift for free verse, I would love to see more of it.

It reminds me (shhh, don't tell anyone it is one of my favourite songs), it reminds me of Chloe Lane's "Stop and Smell the Roses"

Thank you. I try to maintain about 20% of my stuff to forms other than western classic but sometimes I just let things slip lol. I'm not quite happy with this but I'm gonna let it sit a few more days before editing. I'm pleased you enjoyed it.......stan

At the moment I'm doing repairs to my abode in preparation for selling it. Also conducting a search for a parcel of land on which to build its replacement as well as a home for youngest son. Interviewing realtors. Designing 2 houses for us with stern budgets. And that's just during my "spare" time as I also have my small business to keep running lol. ...............stan

simply put

A simple write with a strong message. We should all remember to take time and pause. Beautiful moments are fleeting and go all too quickly. Use of language was simple, elegant and presented a clear message. Good write.

Not one day goes by without me seeing many beautiful people, the faces that pass which hold within their façade an entity that is basically good, this is depicted beautifully by the American shop fronts from the older times, where you had to look inside before you knew what was really there.
