Wild Abandon

"wild abandon"

a state of being I have never experienced
or understood
but, about which I have always wondered

are the practitioners crazy?
have their springs popped?
have they stripped their grey gears
smooth and loose?

wilddddd.....abandonnnnnnn......!
(this is as close as I have gotten so far)

what would it be like?

to dance and bay, naked in the moonlight
to bellow bawdy songs at stodgy functions
to snarl and sneer like a rabid raccoon
just to annoy non-practitioners of the art

WiLd...reflexive... AbAnDoN.....
(another paltry fai!l)

so, how does one detach one's self
from the past, and repercussive future,
to enter this realm?

strip some gears?
pop some springs?
go a little crazy?

if that were the case,
I sometimes think it would be worth doing so

(and I bet I'd become a better writer too!)

Well you are not on your own with the stripping naked etc: as life takes some to a frenzy level, football crowds and anything that seems to put the actions before the brain switches in.
Wild Poetry can still be written all you need is an imagination as big as their lack of self..
I love to watch some of the antics, from children screaming as they play and find out about life, and dancers that seem to become part of the music, to more simplistic things such as a jewel boxes ballerina who has no choice but to turn around as the tinkle of the music is heard, become part of a thunder storm as it rages , I know that you are free to do these things ..
The write is good and I enjoyed the sadness of the watcher as he thought he had lost out.. You Didn't LOL..

hello once again Ian

been on the proverbial lam for about six months...life cycles I suppose....maybe bio-rhythms...who knows...don't really care...that's just how I roll...probably won't change my ways...ever...no real need too!

glad to see you are still prolific, and grinning

thanks for your thoughts on this piece.

respectfully

Nice piece

of writing! Enjoyed this.

This year I've dropped all beliefs
this year I stopped seeking
for I Am all that I desire
so I dropped desire too
this year I have stopped being angry
this year I am working on erasing fear
and I know I'm making progress
and I'm no longer afraid of failure
because I cannot fail
no matter what haapens.

Ya'll

I had thought of making a bucket list,
you know the one where there are things that you would love to do before time stops.
Well I thought what a waste of time that is.
I awoke this morning to the sound of the birds,
and the sun out there flooding us with Summer light,
checked the fridge,
turned on a light,
had some water from the tap as cold could be,
and thought what else is there I need..
You see there is nothing else, so a lot of us are ill,
so ask someone to do these small tasks.
We are so lucky and now I turn on my computer,
music plays to me that I have chosen.
And there you all are,
Friends stretching out to eternity,
Yours Ian.T
