i.
Stereotyped fire games;
some set afire,
others sit at the fire,

barbecue's on,
in Gaza

~~~~~~~~~~~~
ii.
I wanted to send my breath
to those under the siege of death
In Gaza,
but they've blown all
the communicative channels
or should I say, tunnels??
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
iii.

If we could speak
we would tell
how bad it is
to smell the corpse
remnants
left down to rot
under walls
broken

if we could listen,
we would tell
how woeful it
is to hear
children's laughter
struck with bombs
and with cold blood
stolen.

If we could see
we would tell
how many tears
and more fears
are yet to born
and many
innocent dreams
fallen.

but we are
deaf
blind
and
mute

for deafness is but quietness
blindness brings ultimate peace
muteness, the sound of silence,
is what we wish not to cease.

Nice open

I'm concern with the goings on in Gaza and Israel all the while it's a war here about to blow like a volcano. So much unrest beautifully written here

I share the comments of Wesley and Barbara. You have nicely allowed your sentiments to be expressed in these duplex poem. May all be well soon and wisdom prevail over malice.
