The Courtroom
Here, the drama unfolds on a stage
where the judge, the panels of juries,
the lawyers and the accused
are actors, seen and heard
to deliver justice as they see fit
in accordance to the law
Voices have been raised to attract attention
the battles are fought with wits, words and actions
bold lawyers trying to put their points across
with the display of evidence and clever talks
laying entrapments in questions
hoping to appeal to the judges' and juries' favour
The trials can be dragged for many years
or ended within a single day
the courtroom witness,
the tears of the condemned
and the joy of a man, freed
the law twisted to mock justice
and the triumph of the innocents.
In the courtroom where Man is the judge,
a lawyer's masterpiece can still free the criminals.
In the courtroom where God is the only judge
Man's innocence is his only key to salvation

Salaam, Rula
I try to offer a variety of themes in my poetry to make them interesting. Thank you for the visit and the comments. By the way I've just posted :" The Satan's Defeat". Check on it when you can. You see, someone told me that those men and women of faith, have a kind of glow about them as they are always praying to Allah and He protects them from the satans or syaitans. I got the idea for my new poem from this info. Its a solliquoy.
