SICUT EST

Sicut est [so it is]

Sometimes I think I've lived too long
to see them all gone
the ones I held to my heart.
I linger alone in this empty space
broken in body and soul.
Love feeds and grows on love.
and when there is no one left to care
the loneliness and longing will tear
your heart asunder...

Joe

Don't you realise that no matter how much you feel broken or empty, there is still ability of yours to write such pieces as this to let us know how you feel.
In doing so you are once again filled with echoes of words and the ability to tap the keks to tell us so.
Joe you think, therefore YOU ARE,
My unconditional love I will send to you, accept and it may fill those empty spaces ,
Yours Ian

you are only

You are only

One Joe

All by now know
do the Nobelians too
A USA poet of class you are
We are not worthy
of the manure for you to partake

Love thyself more
poetry that you make
places all other poets, especially like me at stake

continue to make newer words
you sow
and poets like me also grow
hoping to be able to grab
strands of grass
from your hands

Hi Joe

Brilliant Joe - love the rhyming scheme - your poems free flow with honest emotion tapped from the well of your very being, that's what makes them so powerful!

Thanks for sharing :) xxxx

I would love to see you elaborate on this. I like the latin, a "dead" language for a dark poem. oh yes.

nice one
