Beautifully Murdered By Buddha.
aimed my eyeballs
with slow precision
became Zen like
lost myself
quite beautifully
Buddha staring
into my probing
vision
no sign of
the Virgin Mother
High Noon
minus the violence
the intensity
almost
knocked me
over
stop!
no more seeking
no more
worried looks
which scatter away
the weak visioned
sleepwalking drones
who contemplate
nothing
time to close my eyes
remove myself
from the Zen like pose
Buddha seems unsettled
as I carve open my chest
I call him over
he sits on the bed
he is as white as a ghost
I guide his hand
into the butchered hole
in the middle of my chest
he caresses
my still beating heart
I can feel his enlightenment
he chokes me to death
with his love.

Judy, the virgin birth is a myth! And so is Jesus(the Sun). Virgin births of saviours is a regular occurrence. Thanks for reading and commenting Judy, always appreciated.

This is seriously over my head.
I'm not a fan of verso libre, but I don't think this qualifies. It's something different. The language is intense, but it's not my cuppa.

A visit to the presence of ones inner voice, I think that all these statues and writes from those of old are to concentrate the thoughts to that inner self.
This is where many things are possible, a cure for life is eternal life, just a change of state.
I see a reason for the Virgin Mary but as a lot of things it need not be here.
The intensity was grand and as you reach inward to the figures of belief you will become aware of self and the power that is held in but a thought,
Yours, Ian.

Hi Lenny
"To me" this poem has intense religious feelings! - like someone being transported to seventh heaven. The language you use is perfect for conveying those feelings - I sensed a change of religion - leaving behind the old to embrace another. ( could be wrong, but that's how I interpreted it ).
Very interesting write: Made me think and the imagery was powerful.
Love to you

Hi Mandy,
thanks for the words. I am free of religion although it does creep in my writings, possibly past life influences.
