Sunny Smile

Where has the sun gone?
From a frosty fellow greeting
To a commuter's cold bleating
The day's forecast was a chilly one.

Where did the sunshine disappear?
From the homeless man's freezing face
To the pedestrian's frigid pace
The weather was not in a temperate temper.

Homeward bound the last snow-covered mile
Trying to bring a warm hue to the day's events
Moving aside for a mother and her two infants
The sunshine dazzled in the little child's smile.

Remark

Always appreciate your insightful remarks. The smaller of the two children had the dazzling smile and I have known children who were big for their ages, hence the qualification "little child". Thanks for your input.
