Background
I followed my second choice of career, that of electronics engineer. This lasted for several decades until ill health enforced retirement.
Qualities
I care about people, am patient, try to be pleasant and understanding. I never prejudge.
Diplomacy
Not for me to say but I try. I have run an electronics workshop with people I was responsible for and others I was responsible to.
Leadership
I think I am a good leader but am no dictator. I consider the views of those I am responsible for and protect them from direct influence of those I am responsible to.

Future Direction
Neopoet could easily become the most encouraging and educational site for new poets. It is well on the way already. One of it's strengths is that it has not yet grown too big and unwieldy.
Alternative Role
There seem to be enough people setting contests so that only leaves special projects but to be fair, I am not sure I have the imagination to come up with that many. I noticed Madison mentioned mentoring, this is a role that I found rewarding in the past (not on this site).
