Exhausted

I’m so tired
But then again
I barely sleep
My eyes are closed
But the nightmares
Creep in, just the same

It's so hard to breathe
Even when awake
The simplest thing
Is the hardest thing
Overwhelmed by life

Endless confrontation
Trigger memories
Of my past
If only I could forget
And learn to love him
Less and less

Loving a monster
The sickness
I cannot escape
Rollercoaster of emotions
Undoubted grief

I’m so tired
Of pretending I’m ok
When there is no end
To this hell
I fear
I may never be the same

Hi Carrie

While scouring through list of undiscovered poems I chanced upon this one. It's pretty vivid and emotive where you are wearing your emotions and sentiments so to say on your sleeve. Would you like to make a Sunku version of this? Just a thought to tease your poetic mind...

This could be an interesting Sunku

I will give it some thought. Thank you for your review, as always. I have had my battles as of recent with former demons and the aftermath of them. Still a lot of work to do but writing sure helps.

Carrie

Use darkness to ease the baggage. Poetry is a good medium / therapy..I will keep an eye on how you deal with the challenge with a Sunku..

Carrie

Are you ok if I try to crimp a stanza or two for starters?

Ok Carrie.....i will

Ok Carrie.....i will definitely try for at least 1-2 stanzas...i will need to buy a black hat since dark poetry has not been my forte which in fact makes this a challenge...
