The mistake was understandable.
These issues raise strong emotions.
I wonder about " it is now my understanding that such is the way of the world now".
Nothing has changed in the sense that it is not ok to attack the author.
However ideas presented within the context of a work, especially when proselytising, are fair game.

I believe that "Thank You" and "Sorry" when used appropriately are powerful expressions of intent. You expressing apology shows your humble nature. Those who have read your posts surely know that .
