Welcome Euthanasia

Welcome Euthanasia

He sleeps now soundlessly
silently,
half breathing

Relatives watch over him calmly
having been given a verdict
Euthanasia has been welcomed
with passion

still he breathes
how long will such a one
prolong pain and grief
relatives become sleepless
in pain he sinks
Deep

Some day the passive way too
will lead to active
let us be kindly treated
like dogs and horses
are put to sleep
let us feel our human selves
a bit better than them
more dignified
Amen

Loved

One from your thoughts that is one of those we wait for.
Euthanasia, then Soyulant Green, is there yet biscuits for tea dear.
We have just gone over to the point that you must say if you forbid any of your parts being used to save others when you die, I suppose what's left over can be used for something..
Loved this write it shows me that the title Young Bard is still OK,
Yours Ian..

I like this.

Simple and elegant.

It treats gently and commonplacedly a topic that is too often approached with strident moralising.
