Equinox
I wasn't sure
what to make of this Equinox
till I remembered
to add a bit of fizz
to endure longer nights ahead
I added ice and soda
to energize my waning drink
tingling my nostrils, warming my heart
with flavors of winter, waiting in the wings
for fall to make its final call
the drama played out
in my cat's eyes
who almost spilled my drink

Thanks Rula
Good to know the last few lines made you exclaim :) I left it to reader's imagination as to what the cat might have done to spill the drink...any guesses?
thanks for reading....
