if only I was a bit younger
the hunger would have been
quenched

When love is in the air
who can but dare
not to blush
oh it’s all
a
hush, hush

make me blush
if only I was a bit younger
the hunger
would have been quenched
there wouldn't have been any danger
of being drenched.
but then that's a simple desire
an impossible conjecture
in which none of us
today can venture
so blushing alone
be your adventure

I never knew...

you were capable of a blush! This is one of your better ones. I would have let the poem stand at the end of "so blushing alone be your adventure". The last few lines belong in the comments by the author. ~ Geezer.
