GODDESS MOON
O Queen! O Goddess Moon!
I see you tantalize,
See you seem so near,
That this weight I feel
Is a feather weight of joy
Sitting with my happy heart.
But tell me,
What strange time is this?
Since you appeared, waxing,
The winter has favored
That quiet vital cold.
Did you still the wind?
And the sun,
He retreats every day now
In a thickly luminous
Fiery orange glow.
And he stares up to You
O Queen of the heavens,
As you take your scepter crown.
Tomorrow your glory will complete
And the heavens will be propitious,
Then, please, do not forget me;
Show me your love, envelope me!
And this weight I feel
Let it spread and become
That near or far has no base
And we are one.

Hello Tyro, lovely poem. I'm
Hello Tyro, lovely poem. I'm also a Moon lover. As a child, I watched the moon from my bedroom window. The dogs would howl at her, on the road nearby. There was a belief that if you slept with the moon on your face, you'd be bewitched, her waxing and waning would make your appearance change, maybe make you ugly!
My mother would draw the curtains.
Your title is perfect and the first strophe grabbed my interest at once. Enjoyed, bring on more, Gracy

Hi Gracy
Hi Gracy
I love her especially when she is full. Some times I get a feel and go to look if she if she is full. If she can pull at the ocean then naturally she can pull at liquid me,

Goddess Moon
Hello, tyro,
This feels very royal, regal. I especially love the 5th stanza - the way the sun stares up at her. So noble.
Thank you!
