NO DESIRE

Poetry is succour of the poor
one’s who cherish satisfaction
from possessing nothing
but desire
as they describe emotions
love and what not
all in existence they have been missing

I withdraw from the arena of competition
they are more deserving
as to them it is more forthcoming
to me well not that deserving

I hereby relinquish my intense desire
one burning like an inferno within me

I am no poet in reality
but have seen poverty
have been scaled by misery
have returned back to that position
where laid royalty
I knew no poetry

Picked it up simply as a hobby
the clock of time was in my pocket
however could I have been
a Poe-yet
