I just struggled to go on a walk
doc says before you die
gain your stamina

I passed by an extremely fair skinned couple
they looked away to the other side
even though I'm not black.

I was struggling
pulling/dragging my legs slowly

The three dogs left them and came to me
and licked my feet

They sighed couldn't speak
I smiled and patted them
they licked my palms

The couple was amazed
but felt no shame
as their dogs had replaced them
