Chicken Little Liar

Oh, how sweet the sound
Of your honey soaked voice
Regurgitating promises
Only fit to mend a broken heart

All the while hiding
Canary colored feathers
Beneath a feaux persona
For your own disgraceful pleasure

Secret after secret revealed
The lemon around your eyes
You talked the talk
Until the talk exposed your lies

Chicken little
Your sky is falling
Better run and hide
I don't think I've ever seen
A brighter shade of yellow
Then what illuminated
From your backside

Whoa...

You done slapped the yellow right off their backside! I can appreciate the slapping technique and the total knock-out power here. Nothing to crit. ~ Geez.

RoseBlack I love the boldness

RoseBlack I love the boldness and honesty in your poem. The following lines were my favourite:

Chicken little
Your sky is falling
Better run and hide
I don't think I've ever seen
A brighter shade of yellow
Then what illuminated
From your backside
