"PAST LOVES"

I loved him,
I still love him,
he's dead now.

I loved him too,
I still love him too,
he's dead now too.

I loved her,
I still love her,
she's dead now.

Their presence comes
and goes by,
the warmth of feelings rise
and give caresses in the day.

In the night,
one senses they are there,
alive,
their souls
or air
that holds sweet memories,

as love's sweet memories
survive.

Takk dear Jayne

I think this has the simplicity that is sometimes lacking in poetry, the thought a whole, and at first I thought it was too trivial or short or whatever, but then the words, for me who felt each person mentioned present, took on the right amount of emphasis and rang true.

We remember those we love in special ways don't we, Love Ann (&J)
