Just fill out this page of plain A4
I promise that the words will come
Any excuse may be mere confusion
As writer’s block is just an illusion
Speak the words, don’t play dumb
There’s everything left to play for

I am a different kind of inspiration
The heavy hand often does just fine
No faffing around, saying your tired
Just get with it and be tightly wired
Find satisfaction squeezing every line
I don’t accept dither or obfuscation

The words are in there, as we know
They need teasing out one by one
Maybe you could even start a flood
You are a writer, it’s in your blood
So finish this work and you are done
Until the next time it doesn’t flow

Hello, Twizzle48,
Let's see...this appears to be an abccba rhyme scheme. I do not use rhyme as often as free verse, but this seems to be a hard pattern to conquer. It works for me, especially since the poem is lighthearted. A couple words stand out to me and really set the tone of your muse - no faffing around, no dither or obfuscation. Your muse is clever and full of humor, but pretty driven, too! Fun and so accurate!
Thank you!

Hi Lavender
Thanks for your comments. I do tend to use this poetic form quite a bit, based on SCUPHAM format - a sort of sandwich.
Most (but not all) of my stuff tends toward ironic rather than the truly personal, but Hey, that's me.

Take care and thanks again.
