Wishes were horses
I will pluck you the ripe moon
And with glee make its beam your cocoon

If wishes were horses
I will purchase you the twinkling stars
With them make you queenly bracelets of stars

If wishes were horses
We will voyage-orbit the sun
With our eyes kissing the shining fun

If wishes were horses
I will fetch you an ocean of roses
Cook you dishes of fishes and kisses

If only wishes
Were horses

I've never heard the if wishes were horses line before.
