Retraction of envious intentions
Being void from ill-felt contentions
Losing the self in a meditative moment
A bruised past flaking away
The temporariness - none worth the sourness
To delicately embroider into a spectacular piece
A once silent recognition, now spoken

About This Poem
Last Few Words: Lately, I've been doing some self-searching and improvement through poetry, song-writing and music. Although, I'm not quite there yet, and still have a long way of growth and healing, I can finally say that I'm getting better and am able to begin to enjoy the special moments in life. I respect myself substantially more now and am breaking through my insecurities along the way. Instead of spiralling into a black pit of despair and self-doubt after an argument or something, I reassure myself that it's a temporary blip and reassess my mindset into a more positive and progressive one. I really hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do. - Bri :)

You are a young woman who is wise well beyond her years. I’m 43 and I’m still telling myself “it’s just a blip”. Good on you. I love everything you’ve posted. You’re very talented and I’m grateful to be able to read what you’ve written. That song we’re working on, it’s really good. Gets stuck in my head everyday at work and I run through it daily as part of my practice routine. I’m getting it locked in. How do you feel about it (it’s rough I know)?

Self transformation
An uphill battle for me and something I work at every day even at 41. Your writing reflects the changes you have made internally and your resolve to get in touch with your higher self. Small steps lead to bigger steps and brighter days. You are a talented writer! Keep going!
