Footprints on the Moon

It's going to be a risk wherever you go
They're going to say that you're all show
You'll always be too young or too old
You fall into doubt and the fire grows cold

When you turn the tables, they rearrange
When you figure out the rules, they change
And when you finally grasp it in your hand
It seems to slip through your fingers like sand

But everybody says you can't until you do
Your future doesn't depend on them, but you
When you're laying shattered on the floor
When you just wanna give up and slam that door

Remember that a champion is made through pain
They build an empire from the doubt they retain
Only you decide if your dreams will meet doom
You can do anything, There's Footprints on the Moon

Foot prints on the Moon

Wow, perfect as far as I'm concerned. What a freakin' fresh idea! I love it! It's so simple an idea and not we all go through this. It especially rings true for me! thanks so very much for sharing!

Thank you so much for the kind words! We can do anything. It isn't our bodies or our finances we have to convince, it's our minds. Thanks again!

dear Shelby,

you make it appear to be so easy to write an expertly created poem, but I know it is not that simple. I love this poem for its grace! and I loved these lines:

Remember that a champion is made through pain
They build an empire from the doubt they retain
Only you decide if your dreams will meet doom
You can do anything, There's Footprints on the Moon

*hugs, Cat
