The Blues
I asked your favourite colour, and you described to me;
The colour of the skies, the oceans, the seas.
How could someone not love a colour so deep?
When it’s above and below, in everything you see.
But as time went on, I resented that colour,
For each time I saw it, it made me feel duller.
Was it so bad? To abhor the blue?
For the sole reason of losing you?
I learned to love every shade, every hue.
I even wore it, just for your view.
But it wasn’t enough to keep you around.
It seems our love lies deep beneath the ground.
About This Poem
Last Few Words: This is about a guy that I recently realized I can’t be with for a number of reasons. He is amazing in almost every way, and if you couldn’t tell his favourite colours blue.

Title: The Blues
Poem Review:
The poem "The Blues" explores the complex emotions associated with a particular color, specifically blue, and its connection to a lost love. The imagery of the color blue being described as the color of the skies, oceans, and seas is vivid and evocative, setting the stage for the emotional journey that follows.
The poem effectively captures the speaker's initial admiration for the color blue, highlighting its depth and ubiquity in the world. However, as the poem progresses, the speaker's feelings toward the color change, and they begin to resent it. This shift in emotions is intriguing and adds depth to the poem.
The poem raises interesting questions about the nature of love and how it can influence our perception of things. The speaker's aversion to the color blue solely because it reminds them of the lost love is a poignant reflection of the pain and bitterness they feel.
The use of repetition in the line "For the sole reason of losing you?" emphasizes the

This is...
a perfect example of what happens when you post a poem. It is read by many people who see it through their own eyes and
decide what it means. With the ending that you gave, it sounded to me as if the person had passed away and you were sad that learning to love blue and even wearing it, couldn't keep them from dying. I see by your last word, that it is the fact that you don't feel like he is good for you, and you shouldn't be together. ~ Geezer.
