Shadow fall!
The mind is amusing,
dark shadows will fall
The misty rain drizzling
will answer it’s call
The call of delusion
the thrill of a squall
Storms are now raging
inside of us all
We seek a sound answer
a sign for us all
The government trembles
down at town hall
Reflecting the tenor
of those wanting to brawl
There’s no peace among us
we’re foolish and small
Goodbye to our yesterdays
they’ll vanish by fall
If sin was enticing
we’ve answered its call
Banished and exiled,
and now we must crawl!

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:
This poem demonstrates a strong use of rhyme and rhythm, which contributes to its overall flow and readability. The theme of societal unrest and disillusionment is clear and consistently maintained throughout the piece.
The use of weather metaphors, such as "misty rain drizzling," "the thrill of a squall," and "storms are now raging," effectively convey the tumultuous emotional state of the collective. However, the connection between these metaphors and the societal issues being addressed could be made more explicit to enhance the poem's thematic coherence.
The line "Goodbye to our yesterdays, they’ll vanish by fall" introduces a temporal element that could be further developed. The concept of time passing and things changing could be woven more consistently throughout the poem to strengthen this aspect of the theme.
The poem's conclusion, "Banished and exiled, and now we must crawl!" is impactful and reinforces the sense of societal downfall. However, the transition to this conclusion could be smoother. The preceding lines focus on the concept of sin and answering its call, which seems somewhat disconnected from the theme of societal unrest.
Overall, the poem could benefit from more explicit connections between its metaphors and themes, as well as a more consistent development of its temporal element.
