Phantasmagoria (am I a part of it?)

When playing the game of Phantasmagoria,
I was filled with a curious sense of euphoria.
Not aware if I were awake,
Nor if my reality was at stake.
Pondering at the state of my dysphoria.

I felt fear and anxiety appropinquation,
In this game's creative station.
Where supernatural forces held my mind,
Devoid of intentions, neither good nor unkind.

Yet amidst my state of fear and dread,
I wondered at my ability to metamorph instead.
Could Xerophytization be the key?
To avoid the drought that consumed me.

And then at last reality struck me cold,
As the phantasmagoria started to unfold.
Because my reality was fatefully tied in,
When acknowledgment hit my face with a wicked grin.

Neopoet AI 5-29-23 version

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

Your poem "Phantasmagoria (am I a part of it?)" explores themes of uncertainty, fear, and self-reflection within the context of a surreal experience. The use of vivid imagery and complex vocabulary enhances the mysterious and introspective tone of the poem.

One suggestion for improvement would be to consider refining the structure of the poem to enhance its flow and coherence. While the poem effectively conveys a sense of disorientation and contemplation, some lines could be revised for clarity and impact. Additionally, further development of the central metaphor of "Phantasmagoria" throughout the poem could strengthen the overall thematic consistency.

Overall, your poem shows promise in its exploration of existential themes and emotional depth. By refining the structure and further developing key elements, you can enhance the impact and cohesion of your work.

Tigger Kaz

Sounds like a psychotic episode, I felt kind of crazy. I understand mildly about how you thought and felt. I have my own illness to deal with. I enjoyed this one and hope that you're doing well. What is xerophytization I would really like to know?

Xerophtization explained

Th poem was written for a neopoet contest, in which I had to incorporate the following 3 words:

Phantasmagoria
Appropinquation
And Xerophtization.

Xerophtization is the state of drought like conditions, a plant may have to adapt to.

I found it the most challenging word to incorporate into a poem . It is likely that I didn't do a particularly great job, so am not surprised that you were unsure of its meaning.
