Shhhh...
Love left unspeakable wounds difficult to bandage.
The scars will turn to whispers in time,
but absence will always be the one shouting.

Simplicity
I am such a wordy writer and then I see pieces like this that say so much with so little. Truly an art form on its own! Not a critique to be had here. Love this.

Thanks L! Like many of my poems, this one began as a much longer piece. I frequently spend a lot of time paring them down to what I feel is the heart of the poem's message. I often have mixed feelings about the phrases or complete stanzas I choose to eliminate - hate to see them go, if you will (but I park them elswhere to maybe be used elswhere - works for me). Appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this piece.
