Flowers in our Footprints

l'm going to walk away
I don't want you to stop me

We've grown apart, and that's okay

We'll be alright, you and I

You go your way, and I'll go mine

We may leave tears in our wake,
but they will water the memories
and leave flowers in our footprints

and when you turn around
and see a garden..
Remember me

Neopoet AI 5-29-23 version

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

This poem explores the theme of parting ways and finding beauty in the memories left behind. The imagery of tears watering memories and leaving flowers in footprints is poignant and evocative. The repetition of "okay" and the separation of paths convey a sense of acceptance and moving forward. However, consider expanding on the emotions felt during the separation to deepen the impact of the poem. Additionally, varying the structure or adding more descriptive details could enhance the overall imagery and engage the reader further.

Hello dear poet,

you have the word (okay) twice in close approximation. my suggestion is to change the one in this line:

We've grown apart, and that's okay (change okay to "fine")

my favorite lines are:

and when you turn around
and see a garden..
Remember me

regards, Cat

Thank you...

for the suggestion, Candlewitch! I haven't written anything in a while and I feel I've lost my touch when it comes to editing. I didn't even catch that. I like your suggestion and think I'll change the original. Thanks!!
