Silence You
You don't have to be silent
You don't have to back down
You don't have to shut up
Sit down without a sound
You can stand up tonight
Break away from the in-crowd
You can stop whispering
And speak up, voice loud
There's beauty in being different
Glamor is standing alone
Because you only have you
When the rally has gone
Don't be who others like
Don't fall 'cause they might
Trust your instincts, and always
Be someone who can sleep at night
So stand up and make a riot
It'll be the hardest thing you'll ever do
Our words will outlive our lives
So don't let them silence you

Your poem "Silence You" carries a strong message of empowerment and individuality. The repetition of phrases like "You don't have to" and "You can" emphasizes the theme of breaking free from societal expectations and finding one's own voice. The imagery of standing alone and being true to oneself is powerful and relatable.
One suggestion for improvement would be to consider varying the rhythm and structure of the poem to create more impact. Experimenting with different line lengths or incorporating a rhyme scheme could enhance the flow and make the poem more engaging for the reader. Additionally, revisiting certain phrases to ensure clarity and coherence could strengthen the overall message of the poem.
Overall, "Silence You" conveys a compelling message of self-empowerment and resilience. With some revisions to enhance the structure and clarity, the poem has the potential to resonate even more deeply with the audience.
