Gypsy spells and caravan rides.
Zebra wings and slide guitars.
Robert Johnson, Dereck Trucks,
blues taken to the moon.
We hear a lonely Tele moan
The crowd goes crazy, Stevies home
to play bit in San Antone.
The blues are here at home.
Tin Pan Alley, Little Wing
we get to hear him rail and sing!
The tradjedy that his death will bring
still ringing in our ears!
The songs of Stevie will live on,
long after He is sadly gone.
Take up the slack,
with Eric Johnson's Tones
Will the sound of the blues go on?
Most likely, till the earth is gone.
The sounds of pop has come and gone.
saxes whistling in our ears!
Play them when they come your way.
Save your feelings for a rainey day.
You will not even count in days.
The blues will never go away.
