Little Ole Me

Standing tall 'round five-foot-three
Little ole me, little ole me
Chased a raccoon from my tree
Oh, little ole me

Hit the ground and turned on me
Little ole me, little ole me
Chased me up into that tree
Oh, little ole me

Here I sit up in this tree
Little ole me, little ole me
Wonderin' who will rescue me
Oh, little ole me

Shame has come, I've got to pee
Little ole me, little ole me
Still that raccoon's keepin' me
Poor, little ole me

Bust my bladder, who do I see
Little ole me, little ole me
A fireman to rescue me
Oh, little ole me

Raccoon's gone and now I'm free
Little ole me, little ole me
Next time I'll leave that raccoon be
Oh, little ole me

Moral to the story:
Don't go chasin' trouble. It'll chase you back.

Dearest Lavender

A morning-fit ballad. Almost a song with that awesome rhythm and rhyme.
It brought a big smile to my face. And the moral is a real lesson that many have got to learn.
As always, a masterpiece and an enjoyable read!
Thank you for sharing:)

Dear Lavender,

I agree with Rula. I could hear the tune as I read the poem/ Leave those Raccoons alone!!!

hugs xxx Cat

p.s.

I was once chased by a squirrel, he wanted my peanut butter cookie, so I gave it to him!

Hello, Cat,

A pause from the more serious side of life. I thought of using a squirrel, but raccoons can be so ferocious!
Thank you for reading!

What a predicament you must have been in. Racoons can be mean, but this one was very comical and melodic. I love this one. John

Hello, John,

A little poetic license with this one. I did not really happen to me, just a lighthearted allegory of sorts. Yes, raccoons can be very mean - big trouble!
Thank you for reading!
