Leaves

Shaking. Trembling.
on the edge of the branch
dancing in the wind.
quickly, then slowly,
moving sensuously
in time with the motions.
So graceful.
So gentle.
They move rhythmically
in gentle waves.
Holding on tight
to the branches.
Clinging to the
trunks so strong
and sturdy.
Structures made by the beauty of nature.

About This Poem

Last Few Words: I made a momentous decision today. Enough of my agony and pain and even my feelings, whatever they may be. I was looking at the leaves on the trees moving and swaying. A poem about the leaves on the trees and how they move, even when they are attached firmly to the tree branches. What do you think?

Neopoet AI 5-29-23 version

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

Your poem "Leaves" beautifully captures the delicate and graceful movements of leaves in the wind. The imagery of them dancing on the edge of the branch and moving sensuously in rhythm with the wind is vivid and evocative. The repetition of words like "graceful," "gentle," and "rhythmically" enhances the flow of the poem and emphasizes the beauty of nature's creations. One suggestion for improvement could be to explore deeper emotions or themes related to the leaves' movements, perhaps delving into the transient nature of life or the interconnectedness of all living things. This could add layers of complexity to your poem and engage the reader on a more profound level.

Big compliment coming from you L

You cannot see me smiling L. I have started to rethink the way I approach my poems. I began with this one, and have another one about a cat that visits my apartment balcony, causing me problems, as I am unable to open my window. I will drop that one online too. So happy that someone with your ability to write poems likes this!
