Wonders Of The Wind
The wind is more than air that will flow
It enables us to understand all we know
It flows each and every day wild and free
Enabling us to choose what we will be
The wind whispers through every tree
Touching everything including me
I view the wind as the reminder of the past
And see it as something that will always last
The wind pushes away the sadness of the day
And ushers in new streams for us to play
The wind is an everlasting part of life
That allows us to move beyond the strife
The wind is a constant gift from God
Something that will forever be awed
The wind knows all and in its flight
It shades the world in shadow and light.

This poem presents a vivid and metaphorical exploration of the wind, attributing it with various symbolic meanings. The use of personification in describing the wind as a conscious entity that 'knows all' and 'ushers in new streams for us to play' is a creative way to express the omnipresent and influential nature of the wind.
However, the poem could benefit from more concrete imagery to enhance its descriptive power. For example, instead of stating 'The wind pushes away the sadness of the day', the poem could describe how the wind sweeps away the dark clouds, symbolizing the clearing of sadness. This would provide a more visual and tangible representation of the wind's effect.
The poem's rhythm and rhyme scheme are generally consistent, which contributes to its overall flow. However, there are some lines that disrupt this rhythm, such as 'The wind is a constant gift from God'. Adjusting the syllable count in these lines could improve the poem's rhythmic consistency.
The poem's theme of the wind as a divine, life-giving force is clear and effectively conveyed. However, the poem could delve deeper into this theme by exploring why the wind is seen as a 'gift from God' and how it 'allows us to move beyond the strife'. This would add depth and complexity to the poem's exploration of its theme.
Lastly, the poem's ending line 'It shades the world in shadow and light' is a strong conclusion that encapsulates the wind's dual nature. However, the poem could further explore this duality throughout its body, which would make the ending line a more powerful culmination of the poem's exploration of its theme.
