02/25 They Call The Wind

THE WAY OF THE WIND.

The way of the wind arises,
Simple yet adorned in noiseless rage,
Conquering rays of mountain and trees,
As leaves flay and whine, worshipping his stern command.

And the wind calls in wonder, staring and stirring,
Raining its print on characters of lonely thorns,
A symbol of justice- silent victorious wave.
Listen, for your answers are upon you.

When the wind's message comes before dawn,
Night angels sink in terror,
As their weapons of warfare sink to fail,
For the way of the wind preserves life, keeping evil at bay.

And I wish to fly like the wind,
Writing my signatures on the sands of time.
As I run through meditations and dimensions of thoughts,
I feel his strong hands sweeping me abroad,
Into realms of forgotten tunes and scattered futures,
To become a son of knowledge and harbinger of light.

Neopoet AI 5-29-23 version

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

The poem "THE WAY OF THE WIND" explores the power and influence of the wind as a force of nature and metaphor for strength and guidance. The imagery of the wind conquering mountains and trees, leaves worshiping its command, and its silent yet victorious wave symbolizing justice is vivid and evocative. The contrast between the wind's power and the night angels' terror effectively conveys a sense of awe and reverence.

The poem's structure and language create a sense of movement and transformation, reflecting the dynamic nature of the wind. The use of personification, such as the wind calling in wonder and raining its print on characters of lonely thorns, adds depth and complexity to the portrayal of the wind as a sentient being with agency and purpose.

The theme of seeking enlightenment and wisdom, of wanting to emulate the wind's ability to transcend boundaries and leave a lasting impact, is compelling and resonant. The desire to become a "son of knowledge and harbinger of light" is a powerful

Listening to the Wind

Nice work
My favourite lines are in the second stanza, : "Raining its print on characters of lonely thorns. A symbol of justice- silent victorious wave/"
You written a good personification poem, the mighty wind, a physical and emotional force in life.

The Way of the Wind

Hello, Sheddie,
I really enjoy the personification within this. The force of nature always has the strongest and final word. It also seems that nature is wise beyond our understanding. Your final line is almost mesmerizing. What a humble wish.
Thank you!
