sleep on it

A soul refrains from distant quests,

Throne, temple, summit—all forsaken.

The answer dwells, soft-spoken, near,

Its whispers carried on dawn’s breath.

Kindness becomes as oil of lamps,

A quiet deed ignites warm glow.

Within the dark, love forms a hymn,

Illuminating hearts, unseen.

Do not journey far,

The warmth you seek

is folded close,

Residing deep—within, it grows.

Sleep On It

Hello, CP,
"...kindness becomes as oil of lamps." What poetry. Love all of this, especially that line. This really spoke to me.
Thank you!

Many thanks Lavender, your

Many thanks Lavender, your words are truly appreciated as that line about the oil may at first come across awkwardly but it felt right to phrase it that way. This has been a significant confirmation thanks to your input. Again, thank you:)
