Little Girl in Gaza

You never fired a missile
nor denied a bite to eat
to starving people

You never caused
blood to flow
nor insist eyes witness

death -
smell its breath
step in its sticky mortification

You never shouldered reason
to destroy someone's

home -
dining table, bed
their shoes, a thin cloth to wipe their face

You never wanted to watch the murder of
countrymen, babies
your family and friends...

your crying mother.

You never shattered another child's life.
And you never saw the end of this shitty war.

THIS MUST BE VERY NEW , BECAUSE I CAN'T SEE THAT ANYONE ELSE HAS COMMENTED. THERE ARE HARD THINGS COMING AND ALREADY HERE I HOPE I DIE BEFORE THE WORST OF IT. I THOUGHT THIS POEM WAS MORE THAN JUST EXPRESSIVE. I FEEL SADNESS WHEN I READ IT. THE THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING AREN'T RIGHT, BUT WHO IS TO SAY WHAT IS RIGHT OR WRONG. ONLY A WARM UNDERSTANDING HEART LIKE YOUR OWN. PLEASE KNOW THAT I ESTEEM YOU AS A FRIEND AND THAT THIS WAS A WONDERFUL POEM!

Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts with this.
It's all senseless and tragic.

Oh for

that horror in Gaza my dear friend. I never imagined to witness such days. The real tragedy is being unable to reach them, or give a hand.
Is donation and supplication ever enough? I wonder :(
Thank you for sharing as always my dear friend.

Hello, Dear Rula,

I agree... is it enough? Continued support for vulnerable children of Gaza, and all areas affected by war around the world.
Thank you,

Dear Lavender

It's the suffering of innocents of this world whuvh goes unremembered truly if our leaders cared about their children and their people there would ge no war the abomination of humanity. You are brave and honourable to write this poem and I hope it continues til the end of these terrible wars.

Dearest Lavender,

your poem is quite profound, sad, and it makes me so angry this world we live in. What is it going to take to wake up those in charge and motivate them to remedy this situation? Greatly inspiring poem.

Never have,

Never have i done any of these cowardly acts, but reading your poem stirs in me a more culpable crime i and many others commit. The sound of silence, we should be screaming at our leaders to stop all wars. Terrific thought provoking piece. Love Roscoe...
