Tyrants

The world is being molested by bullies,
cowards with pathetic penises

trying to prick the most
innocent, virginal lives,

always frustrated and impotent,
stupid and self-centered,

forcing their way to
possess land and people

who will always be
more dignified, more glorious,

more humane
and compassionate,

who may live with real fear,
yet, will never be owned.

A great rant...

It is the unfortunate fact that humankind has been saddled with an overload of aggressive behavior in order to survive. That is not to excuse such,
but to announce there are pools of unmitigated racism and xenophobia, that stagnant as they may be; are no less potent. Let's be aware and against it. A great rant, with clear intent.  ~ Geez.

Hi, Geezer,

This is specifically about many of our current world leaders.  Yesterday (as everyday) was an especially  horrible day for innocent people caught in the crossfire of war and arrogant politics, especially children.  Toss a dart at a map of the world, and it will stick to a place where children are being torn away and separated from family, or denied food and medical supplies needed to simply survive.  I don't understand such things - coldhearted and inhumane.  I don't want to understand.  What cause can possibly be justified for the extent of suffering felt by so many innocent people?

I see the fragile egos of these men - the greater need for power and wealth rather than the welfare of fellow human beings, especially children.

There is little diplomacy in the world from our leaders right now - just an ugly, huge cock fight.

Thanks for reading my rant.  I always appreciate your time and thoughts.

Hello, Mark,

Not certain what I can't accept the most - the ignorance of it, or the arrogance of it.

Thank you for reading!

Power

I've often read that people

Who take another's body or mind forcibly,is simply about control and power. Some people find certain terrible acts empowering. I thought your piece was bold. Absolutely true. The sentiments it captures can be applied to so many different yet relevant scenarios. Thank you for sharing.

Hello, Koki,

I'm certain your "empowerment" theory is absolutely correct.

Thank you for sharing!

Sadly,

Sadly it has always been the same, they get a lot braver when the worlds opposition is so inept. The last world war was supposed to be an example of this, yet still we have not learnt.

         Great poem, Love Roscoe....

Hello, Roscoe,

I cannot imagine how much more the United States can take of our current administration's abuse against human beings and of our Constitution without strong opposition finally taking hold.  (But then, I never would have thought we'd be here a second time.)  And to see so many other world leaders commit genocide and war crimes globally in spite of the International Criminal Court agreements is vile and unbelievable.

Thank you for reading.  I greatly appreciate your thoughts and concerns.

Hello, John,

These types of poems stay with me a very long time - strange, I feel no peace in writing things like this.  Just deeper disbelief and sorrow. Trying to sense positive energy somehow and in some way...

I wrote a little poem about my purple velvet couch, which is very bohemian and brings me joy.  Also, still concentrating very much on the Aisling poem!

Thank you for your kindness!

Love, L
